How to Turn on Vizio TV Without Remote?

One of the best things about Vizio is that it is one of the best manufacturers of high-quality 4K TVs with many top specifications but at highly affordable prices. However, one of the problems with new TVs is how to turn them on without a remote.

How do you turn on the Vizio TV without a remote?

You can turn on Vizio TV using an Android or iPhone SmartCast Application if you do not have a remote. Additionally, you can depend on Vizio using the button that powers on and off your TV or your Nintendo PS4.

Three ways to turn on the TV without a remote:

  • A button that powers on and off your TV
  • If you have an iPhone or Android, you can pen it with the SmartCast Application.
  • You can also link the Nintendo Switch and PS4 to our Vizio TV.

Today, we will discuss how you can power your Vizio TV if you don’t have a remote.

You can open a Vizio Television easily, as all these televisions have a power button. However, the said button might not be easy to find. This button can be found behind the TV, bottom left or bottom right corner, depending on your model. But after you stumble upon this button, you can easily open your Vizio TV anytime.

Other buttons for Vizio TV

Your Vizio TV has the power button, channel, volume, and input options. The options are obscured so as not to disturb the aesthetic, giving the TV a sleek, minimalist look.

The following reason is that these in-build buttons are not ideal for maneuvering through the menus. However, since it comes with a remote and an application, your work on the remote can be done from there efficiently.

How do you turn on the Vizio TV through the SmartCast Application?

  • Download the Vizio Smartcast App for iOS or the Vizio Smartcast App for Android.
  • On TV or phone, try to open the Vizio Smartcast App
  • Go to the homepage and tap on the control button at the bottom.
  • Click on devices (top right corner)
  • Select Vizio Smart TV from the list of available devices.

The most straightforward way to power your Vizio TV in case of a lost remote is to use the Vizio SmartCast application for Android and iOS.

This does not require a remote, and you can still perform your functions on the remote. Find and install the SmartCast application from the App Store or Google Store to do this.

If you are a first-time user, pair your device.

Select devices> Choose to add in the top-right corner> Hold your smartphone towards your TV to pair.

Once you have paired the device, you control it through the application like a remote. For example, you can switch it off or on, lower or raise the sound, change channels, set the aspect ratio, etc.

To turn on the TV, you don’t necessarily need to turn on the app too. If you are streaming anything on your phone, it will automatically power on the TV.

Power on your Vizio TV with the PS4

If you are a voracious gamer, you can stream various game activities. Here are the steps to opening your TV with your game console.

  • The first step is to connect your PS4 with the Vizio TV with an HDMI cable.
  • Go to settings> System.
  • Choose to enable the HDMI link option.

As you turn your TV on, select the correct method. Your PS4 will turn on when you do this.

Power on the Vizio TV with Nintendo Switch

This process varies from the last ones that we discussed.

The first step is to connect the Nintendo Switch device to your Vizio TV through the dock panel. Then, in-home, select the system settings. In the settings, go to the left list, scroll down to the list, and open the Match TV Power State to turn on your TV.

When you turn off your console, the input also turns off. Likewise, as you turn on the console, the television will turn on automatically.

Important news for HDMI- CEC and Xbox One

Xbox One and HDMI-CEC users cannot use these devices to turn on Vizio TVs. Instead, Xbox controls the television through IR Blaster and Xbox Kinect, which Microsoft no longer sells. The console not supporting the TV is unknown, but fans are highly demanding it.
